Built by someone who
saved one too many DMs.
hook it started as a personal problem. Now it's a product we're proud of.
I built hook it because I was tired of losing things I loved online.
The recipe someone posted on Instagram. The travel reel I wanted to revisit. The product a creator mentioned in passing. Every week I'd save something to a DM, a screenshot pile, or a buried browser bookmark โ and never see it again.
None of the existing tools felt right. Note apps were too much friction. Bookmark managers didn't understand social content. And nothing worked on mobile the way I actually browse content โ quickly, on the go, in other apps.
So I built hook it.
The Share Sheet import was the insight: the fastest save is a one-tap save from wherever you already are. The smart hook engine was the unlock: it is now capable to identify all content with the support of LLMs, ensuring your discoveries are organized without you ever having to type anything.
We launched quietly, shared it with a small group of people who had the same problem, and watched them start saving hundreds of hooks a week. That told us something.
Where we're going
Right now, hook it is a personal library โ one of the best ways to save and find content you care about. Where we're heading is more interesting: a place where your saved content surfaces at the right time, connects to your plans, and helps you actually do the things you saved.
We're early. We're small. We ship fast. And we read every piece of feedback we get.
If you're using hook it, thank you. You're helping us build something we genuinely believe in.
