How to set up the iOS Shortcut

Adding a Hook It iOS Shortcut allows you to save content directly from your favorite apps with just one tap. Because Hook It integrates natively with Apple's Shortcuts system, you can easily create your own custom shortcut.

Note: This feature requires iOS 16.0 or later.

Creating the Shortcut

1. Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap the + button in the top right corner to create a new shortcut.
3. Tap Add Action.
4. Switch to the Apps tab and find Hook It in the list.
5. Tap on Hook It and select the save action provided by the app.
6. (Optional) To use this shortcut directly from other apps: Tap the "i" (Information) button at the bottom of the screen, turn on Show in Share Sheet, and make sure it is set to receive "URLs".
7. Tap Done in the top right corner to save your new shortcut.

Pro Tip: Add it to your Home Screen

For even faster access, you can add this shortcut directly to your Home Screen:

1. Open the Shortcuts app.
2. Find the Hook It shortcut you just created.
3. Tap the three dots (...) in the top-right corner of the shortcut.
4. Tap the Share icon (or the arrow at the top).
5. Select Add to Home Screen.
6. Tap Add in the top-right corner.
