How to save from X (Twitter)

Capture insights, threads, and news from X in one tap.

Never lose a thread again

X (formerly Twitter) is the home of breaking news, deep-dive threads, and viral products. hook it makes it easy to save these insights directly to your library.

Step 1: Find the Post or Thread

Open the X app and navigate to the post, thread, or news link you want to save.

Step 2: Tap the Share button

Tap the Share icon (the arrow pointing up) at the bottom right of the post.

Step 3: Select hook it

Scroll through the share options and select hook it. If you don't see it, tap Share via... to open the system Share Sheet.

What hook it extracts from X

Our AI is optimized for the fast-paced nature of X:

  • Thread Summaries: If you save the first post of a thread, our AI attempts to capture the context of the entire conversation.
  • News Extraction: When an X post shares a news article, hook it follows the link to extract the full story.
  • Platform Verification: We save the author's handle and the timestamp so you can always verify the source.

Tip: Copy Link Method

If the share sheet feels too slow, you can simply tap Copy Link, then open the hook it app. Our auto-detect feature will offer to import the link immediately.

Troubleshooting

Saving images only If you save an X post that only contains an image and no text or link, hook it will preserve the image and the author's name in your "General" category.

Private Accounts Hook it cannot extract details from "Protected" accounts (accounts with a lock icon). For these, we recommend taking a screenshot and adding the information manually.
