Archive or Delete?

We know we're all hoarders, so Hook It gives you the option to Archive your hooks instead of deleting them immediately. Archiving keeps your library clean while ensuring your discoveries are still safe in the bin for 30 days.

Deleting or Archiving a Single Item

There are two ways to manage a single hook:

1. From the Edit Screen

1. Open the item from your library.
2. Tap the Edit button (pencil icon) in the top right corner.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Item.

2. Swipe to Archive (The Fast Way)

1. In the My Hooks list view, swipe the item to the left.
2. Tap the Archive button.
3. A confirmation popup will appear:
   • Tap Archive to move it to the bin for 30 days.
   • Tap and hold the Delete button for 3 seconds to permanently delete it (Warning: No way back, no backup!).

Managing Your Archive (The Bin)

If you've archived something by mistake or want to clear it out early:

1. Go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap on Archive/Bin.
3. From here, you can choose to Restore an item back to your library or Delete permanently.

Deleting a Collection

To delete an entire collection:

1. Go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap on Manage Collections.
3. Swipe left on the collection you wish to remove.
4. Tap the Delete button.

Note: Deleting a collection will not delete the items inside it. They will simply become uncategorized.
